The next four games are against Northville, Novi, Hartland and Salem. ► Lowdown: After two tough opponents in its first two games, Howell has an opportunity to turn things around with its upcoming schedule. ► Records: Howell 0-2 (0-1 KLAA West), Northville 1-1 (0-1 KLAA West) RELATED: Livingston County football stat leaders through Week 2 Brighton has won the last three games in this rivalry. Every team is aware of Jontz’s running ability, but Hartland will be more wary than most about his passing ability.

Brighton quarterback Will Jontz had the best passing performance of his three-year career in a 49-21 victory over Hartland last year, going 6-for-9 for 246 yards and four touchdowns. Brighton represents the first big test for Hartland sophomore Holden D’Arcy as the starting quarterback after he led the Eagles to a 35-0 halftime lead against Salem last week. ► Lowdown: Both teams opened KLAA West play in similar fashion, putting away their opponents by halftime and posting shutouts. ► Records: Brighton 1-1 (1-0 KLAA West), Hartland 1-1 (1-0 KLAA West) 12 in the other two games involving county schools this season. Fowlerville hasn’t played a county rival since opening the 1996 season against Pinckney. It happens only three times a season after Pinckney left the KLAA for the SEC White last season. It has become a rare treat whenever county teams collide. I went 4-1 each of the first two weeks picking games involving Livingston County teams, but the head-to-head matchup between Brighton and Hartland means there are only four games this Friday. Here’s one prediction I know I’ll get right: I won’t go 4-1 predicting high school football games this week. Watch Video: Chelsea at Pinckney football highlights, interviews
